Through efforts directed by LAP-AID, volunteers can sign up on Volunteer Now, a website that helps direct willing volunteers to help where needed. Having a database of potential volunteers in times of crisis is important.
 
Sign up to volunteer before a disaster strikes and be informed when volunteer needs arise.  United Way of East Central Iowa helps coordinate volunteers through the Volunteer Now website and supports the relief efforts of state and federal relief organizations and LAP-AID.
